Dominic's autistic meltdowns. Part 2
***PLEASE READ***
THIS VIDEO IS UNSUITABLE FOR CHILDREN, PLEASE WATCH RESPONSIBLY.
I am posting this video in a bid to raise awareness and understanding of autism. Dominic's tantrums are a daily occurance and if he has one while we are out, people simply assume he is naughty. As hard as it was to make these videos, I hope it goes some way towards changing that stigma for my son and every other person with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
I want parents, carers and families to know they are not alone.
I also want Dominic's doctors to see how the simplest of things can cause him such distress, essentially aiding with his diagnosis.
*Update* Just to let you know that the way I worded the subtitles in parts are blunt and play on emotion, this was very much intentional; I'm unashamed as it ultimately achieved it's main purpose, made his CDT panel see that his problems are not simply a PDD; which has led to *cue drum roll* diagnosis. He has since gotten a made to measure wheelchair so he can now come out with us safely, a fantastic PEC system and hopefully a schoolplace in the next few months! :)
