Mt. Rainier Hikes-Frying Pan Creek-HIKINGZONE
I love Frying Pan Creek on the Summerland Trail. Please enjoy the film.
Summerland Trail-Frying Pan Creek
Distance, round-trip: 8.5 miles
Elevation gain: 1500 feet
Hiking time, round-trip: 4 hours
Wilderness camps: Yes
Frying Pan Creek trailhead location you must drive through the White River Entrance and travel for three more miles over the bridge. You can park before the bridge on the side of the road, and there is a parking lot past the bridge, but usually fills up quickly so arrive early.
The trailhead is on the left-hand-side of the parking lot.
I usually run into bear, however there has never been a bear attack here on this trail.
But women during menstruation should not enter the forest during this time, bears are wild animals and can't be trusted.
